It’s all about perspective. Having everything in balance.
A perspective too narrow and small and it is easy to become bogged down in the details of a tas; In the minutiae of how you are actually going to fill that essay, or the fact that there have 479.4 minutes left in the office before you can go home and be yourself, or that your clothes will be cold and you will end up shivering when you have to get up in the morning.
These details can become all-consuming and drag down every aspect of your life.
Yet a perspective too wide, too general, will lead to a lack of focus or motivation on the current events and challenges of life. It can easily allow for a careless attitude. The thought that everything is insignificant and therefore pointless.
So find the balance. Find where your goals are, see your future and the achievements you hope to work towards. But remember to take everything day by day, remember how you are going to achieve your goals.
See your dreams, realise them and remember them every single day. And when in the dark times, with no motivation, when you are sick and tired of representing yourself publicly, remember why you are doing this.
But also remember your dreams will only come true if you grasp the now to work towards them.
